On Thursday, June 14th, Deloitte hosts its premier board-level, invitation-only Directors’ Series to provide board members with fresh insight on corporate governance issues that matter.

The program will simulcast live in nearly 40 locations across the United States and will feature discussions with prominent guest speakers who represent the CEO, board member, investor, and regulator perspectives.

Attendees at each location may pose questions to the guest speakers and engage in discussion with their peers and senior Deloitte leaders in the room. Topical corporate governance issues may include dynamics and effectiveness of the board; challenges boards may face given recent rules and regulations; significant issues raised during the 2012 proxy season; being competitive in the global markets; government ownership and influence; and the increasing use of technology and social media by the board.

Pending review, attendees may earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits for their participation in this program.

The Directors’ Series is presented by the Deloitte U.S. Center for Corporate Governance. Deloitte’s Center for Corporate Governance orchestrates dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and thought leadership on governance issues to help advance collaboration among corporations, board members, the accounting profession, academia, and government.
